• Home Improvement Contractor – If you are working on a remodeling project, then you only need to have a home improvement contractor’s license. No test is required, but you do have to register with the state of Massachusetts and pay a fee.
• Specialty Supervisor Licenses – For specific types of projects, you can get a specialty supervisor’s license. Three years of field experience and a six-hour course are required before you can take the licensing test. The specialty fields are; asbestos abatement, electrician, plumbing, roofing, siding, and fuel-burning device installations.
